My nutrition coach’s plan has no room for milk. Milk contains lactose and sugars. Long story short, it has been banished from my diet.
But, without milk, how shall I make my coffee drinkable? Enter: Almond “milk”. A quarter of the calories of 2% milk, and it does the trick with my coffee – I don’t even notice the difference anymore. The only crappy thing is that no coffee shops serve unsweetened almond milk, so I have to get black coffee when I’m out and about, and black coffee is horrible.
I have absolutely no idea how this stuff tastes on it own, nor am I likely to try it to find out. That said, it’s an excellent replacement for milk in coffee.
